Bill Anschell Plays The Beatles, solo piano (First Sundays Concerts Series)

Although Bill Anschell is known mainly as a jazz musician, The Beatles were the first band to catch his attention, and he taught himself piano by figuring out their music by ear. Now he’s able to take the knowledge earned through a lifetime of jazz playing, and apply it to those same songs. His repertoire spans more than 100 Beatles compositions, from the well-known to the relatively obscure. He brings a fresh approach to each of them, taking them in directions he only hopes John, Paul, George and Ringo would enjoy.

The concert series is proudly presented by the Bainbridge Community Piano Association & First Sundays Concerts, a monthly musical performance series featuring world-class classical and jazz musicians. Bainbridge Community Piano Association is supported in part by True Sound Piano Service, Bainbridge Community Foundation, Columbia Bank & Amy McFarland, Compass Real Estate.

Concert Format:
Approximately 1 hour – 1 hour 15 minutes performance with no intermission.
