Dia de los Muertos

Celebrate Día de los Muertos with KiDiMu and BIMA! Come by KiDiMu on Saturday, 10/29 to decorate butterfly wings and participate in the mariposa (butterfly) procession to Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) in honor of Día de los Muertos! Create your butterfly wings anytime from 9am - 10:45am, and at 10:50am Teacher Bernice will lead families in the mariposa procession from KiDiMu to BIMA.
BIMA will host their annual Día de los Muertos community celebration featuring an ofrenda (altar), art kits, music, and shared stories about the history and traditions of this festival, which originated in Mexico.
KiDiMu will have Día de los Muertos activities in our atrium all day, as well as special workshops for children 5 and older to paint sugar skulls! Workshops are free with membership or admission. Sign-up for the sugar skull workshops at: https://www.kidimu.org/dia-de-los-muertos
