CANCELED -- Jonathan Darman Event Re: "Becoming FDR" is Canceled

CANCELED:  We regret announcing that the Jonathan Darman event scheduled for June 20, 2023 at 630pm is canceled due to changes in Jonathan’s book tour schedule.  The event will not be rescheduled.  We apologize for the disappointment, we too were looking forward to meeting him and learning new details about one of our greatest presidents.  Do not despair!   We are working on securing a new slate of fascinating authors for our upcoming Authors Event season that we are confident will intrigue, amuse and educate us all.  Keep your eyes peeled to our newsletter and social media sites for information on upcoming events, which we will post as soon as we have confirmed availability of authors.

Join us as author and journalist Jonathan Darman, shares his latest book, Becoming FDR.  Jonathan is a former political correspondent for Newsweek and his experience writing and reporting on American history and politics gives him a unique insight into this nation’s leaders. In Becoming FDR, Jonathan shows how years of personal struggle with polio transformed Franklin Roosevelt from a charming playboy into a compassionate and transformational leader. His ascent to the presidency in turn gave his wife Eleanor the platform by which she too became a great inspirational leader.  The evening will be filled with interesting details on one of our greatest presidents and an opportunity to compare and contrast his qualities with his predecessors.
