Library U's 2024 foreign affairs discussion series, GREAT DECISIONS AT THE LIBRARY, continues on Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at the Bainbridge Public Library with a discusion on Climate Technology and Competition.
Will the United States and China, with other powerful countries following suit, approach current and future climate initiatives with an increased commitment to trade protectionism and nationalism, by various measures including trade restrictions? Or could a growing spirit of international accord develop to confront the “common enemy” of climate change?
While enjoying coffee and pastries, participants view a 25-minute Foreign Policy Association film on the topic and then take part in a discussion lead by Erik Smith, a renewable energy technology executive.
