Part 6 in the Bainbridge Public Library’s 2023 Great Decisions foreign affairs discussion series.
Library U's 2023 foreign affairs discussion series, GREAT DECISIONS AT THE LIBRARY, continues on Sunday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at the Bainbridge Public Library with a discusion on Energy Geopolitics.
Energy Geopolitics. Access to oil and gas has long held an influence over the politics of individual nations and their relations with others. But as more countries move toward sustainable energy, and supply chain shortages and military conflicts affect the availability of oil and gas, how will this change the way in which the United States interacts with the outside world?
While enjoying coffee and pastries, participants view a 30-minute Foreign Policy Association film on the topic and then take part in a discussion lead by Scott Montgomery, author, geoscientist, and affiliate faculty member in the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington.
