Jazz Concert - Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews and his All-Stars
Eric is a Whidbey Island native who has earned national awards, including Outstanding Soloist at the Lionel Hampton festival. His band will perform this year at Djangofest Northwest, the biggest gypsy jazz event in America.
Eric plays clarinet and saxophone; his All-Stars on piano, bass, and guitar hail from New York, L.A., and Seattle. Together they blend the music of Django Reinhardt and Louis Armstrong with the freedom of modern improvised music. This concert will also feature a guest appearance by violinist Ranger Sciacca, of the “Re-Arrangers”.
