Oscar winner Lee Grant, in addition to starring in many Hollywood films, is an accomplished documentarian. Her works provide an unflinching view of many of society’s persistent woes. BIMA presents four of her documentary films, curated by guest programmer Tova Gannana. Dinah Manoff, Ms. Grant’s daughter, will be in conversation with Tova for the evening screenings. Between features, representatives from Native Social Services agencies will talk about community based Strength and Wellness initiatives and how they are making a difference within Indigenous communities. BIMA is grateful for the generous sponsorship by Moskin & Vitale Real Estate of Bainbridge Island, WA without which we wouldn’t be able to screen this series.
