From grunge to blues to psychedelic and power pop, this musical event has everything.
Join us for an evening of soulful music with artists Mark Pickerel & the Peyote 3 + Ian Moore & the Mescal 4 as part of BIMA’s first ever Mojo Rhythm & Blues Festival, a four day weekend of live music and events happening July 11-14.
Mark Pickerel has quite the back story, which started as playing drums for seminal grunge faves The Screaming Trees. He has since played on albums with Mark Lanegan, The Dusty 45s, Brandi Carlile, Neko Case and Nirvana and has stepped out as a frontman for various groups including Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands and now The Peyote 3.
Austin-based blues-rocker Ian Moore first gained experience touring as a guitarist with Joe Ely, which led the way to a solo tour opening for the Rolling Stones and ZZ Top. He later signed with Capricorn; three records followed from 1993-1995: Ian Moore, Live from Austin EP, and Modernday Folklore.

Parking is also available in the underground garage. Take the elevator to First Floor Rear (1R) during museum hours for access through the Community Gallery to the Auditorium, Bistro and Museum.
All of the Museum is accessible by ramps and elevators. If someone in your party needs a wheelchair to enjoy the museum, please ask to borrow a loaner one at the reception desk.
