This annual event gathers community for a night of sharing resources, strategy, camaraderie, and joy, all in service of realizing Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community striving for justice. There is no cost to attend the social.
“Move & Be Move” will fill the first floor of BIMA, with multiple spaces dedicated to a variety of opportunities for
connection and inspiration. Groups and organizations will share resources and offer information on how to come
alongside their social justice endeavors. Interactive elements will offer fun ways for attendees to explore and
connect. Smaller “living room” conversation spaces will invite deeper discussion into relevant topics. Music and
an open floor will get us dancing. Food will be available to enjoy in a covered area of the open-air courtyard, so
that we can all help prevent the spread of COVID and other viruses. Drinks and cookies will be available for free,
and Aunt Dolly’s West African Marketplace will be on-site with delicious fare for purchase. Masks are strongly
recommended in all indoor spaces, and free masks will be offered at the door to any attendees who need them.
