Movies That Matter - Artifishal: The Fight to Save Wild Salmon

Artifishal is about people, rivers, and the fight for the future of wild fish. It explores wild salmon’s slide toward extinction, threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms, and our continued loss of faith in nature.

An award-winning documentary, Artifishal was produced by Patagonia along with Laura Wagner, Yvon Chouinard, and Bainbridge Island resident, author and activist Dylan Tomine; it was directed by Josh "Bones" Murphy.  The film contains footage shot in the waters around Bainbridge Island.

This is a special screening of the film at the Historic Lynwood Theatre on Bainbridge Island. Doors open at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Nov. 7. The film will start at 7:00 pm. It will be followed by a discussion featuring Dylan Tomine and Kurt Beardslee, the Director of the Wild Fish Conservancy.

You can learn more about the film on the official website.
