Toastmasters: Where Leaders Are Made
U Speak Easy Toastmasters meets the 2nd & 4th Wed. to provide a supportive and positive learning experience where those who attend are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
We currently meet online, making our club the perfect place to improve public speaking skills - especially if you want to learn both the art and the technology of presenting your best self on Zoom! Newcomers are always welcome. Will improved speaking skills help you towards your goals? Would you like to develop leadership skills? Prepare for a book tour? Pitch your startup? Influence public policy? At U Speak Easy, you'll meet others who are also seeking to improve their skills. We learn by doing, and by receiving constructive feedback. Current club members range from beginners to veteran public speakers who provide guidance in addition to Toastmasters International's proven training materials.
We meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 7:15 - 8:3o pm. We usually feature two to three prepared speeches, lasting five to seven minutes each, followed by impromptu speaking opportunities. It's a lot of fun. All the members are volunteers at this non-profit organization with
