Showing of a spectacular film version of this classic opera.
Puccini's "Madame Butterfly" as directed by Fréderic Mitterand was the first production of the opera to use actual Asian performers in Asian roles. This is a spectacular film version, not just a recording of a staged production. To be briefly introduced by former humanities professor Paul Brians. All welcome.
