Join us for a cruise around Bainbridge Island on the historic Virginia V Steamship! See our island from the water and learn about the history while enjoying snacks from the top deck.
View the panorama of Bainbridge Island’s waterfront as you cruise around the Island on the beautifully restored Virginia V, the last of the “Mosquito Fleet” steamers. Watch the 1898 steam engine operate and pull the steam whistle in the pilot house. Enjoy a delicious bag of snacks from the deck of this historic craft.
This annual fundraiser of the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum is a festive and informative event. It will feature historic narration by Ralph Munro, former Secretary of State. You'll learn about the fascinating history of the numerous docks and communities that grew up along the Island’s shore. Each passenger will receive an informative map of the 31 Bainbridge steamer landings that surrounded the Island with a description of the early 1900's settlements.
