This class brings together three Bainbridge Island organizations in a synergistic collaboration for food preservation, local organically grown raspberries, and a non-profit advocating for local food and cultivating community.
Kerri Sanson, Karen Selvar from Bainbridge Island Farms, and Morgan Houk of Friends of the Farms will join forces for this event. The Kitchen Arts Studio welcomes this collaboration and looks forward to future classes that draw together the local community.
Besides taking home the jam you make, you will learn:
• how to find local farms selling berries
• how to select suitable berries
• how to de-seed if desired
• how to adjust recipes to maximize flavor
The ingredients used are gluten free, non-dairy, and plant based.
Skill level: beginner; but those with jam skills are welcome to join and learn some new tricks.
