In his poem, 'Masking Asking,' John Fox asks, "Should I wear a mask?"

The question now
I am asking:
“Yes or no,
should I be masking?”
Do I fear to be seen
face-togged as though
it’s Halloween?
Am I afraid
with mouth obscured
my masked mumble
will blur my words?
Maybe I fear
being mask-prepared
will show the world
that I am scared.
To mask, for sure
will be the best,
not just for me,
but all the rest.
Of course I’ll wear
a facial barrier:
because, perhaps,
I’m a clueless carrier!
I hope this finds you well and flourishing!
John Fox
