A native to Long Island, NY, Mandi grew up surrounded by shoreline and the woods, which were prevalent as both backdrop and playground for her childhood explorations. Her dreamy imagination and curiosity of her natural surroundings found a welcome home here, in the PNW, when she relocated in 2012 to the lush natural landscape of Bainbridge Island.
As an artist she finds inspiration in her natural environments, whether at home or while traveling. There is a creative and experimental approach in both her photography and printmaking, which bring dreamlike and otherworldly qualities to her image making.
Mandi completed her bachelors degree in fine art and photography at LIU Southampton in 2004. She has work experience as a photography studio/location assistant and photographer, fine art photographer for giclee reproduction work, printing giclees and archival photographs, and art museum archives.
