Thirty-five years ago, Carl moved to Seattle and took a bike ride that completely changed his life. The bicycle tour brought him to Bainbridge Island, where he fell in love with the beauty at every turn and the strong sense of community. Soon after, he found himself living on the island. When not in the office, he can be found spending time with his beloved dog, cooking, enjoying a glass of wine, or painting Methow Valley and other agricultural landscapes “en plein air.” Carl is deeply committed to the island’s close-knit community. He serves as Chair of the Public Arts Committee and as a Board Member of Arts & Humanities Bainbridge.
